22 kW Solar Energy Storage System with 48 kWh Battery Capacity for a Clinic

Date:2026-09-17

22 kW Solar Energy Storage System with 16 kWh LiFePO4 Storage Batteries and 11 kW Solar Inverters for a Clinic

Reliable electricity is essential for healthcare facilities, where lighting, medical equipment, refrigeration, communication systems, and other critical loads require stable power throughout the day. To support the daily operations of a clinic, a 22 kW solar energy storage system was installed, combining two 11 kW hybrid inverters with three 16 kWh LiFePO4 energy storage batteries.

The system is equipped with two 11 kW PV Solar Inverters, providing a combined inverter capacity of 22 kW. The hybrid configuration enables flexible energy management between solar generation, battery storage, connected loads, and available grid or backup power sources. This allows the clinic to make better use of solar energy while maintaining a reliable power supply when solar generation is insufficient.

For energy storage, the project uses three M90 PRO 51.2V 320Ah LiFePO4 Energy Storage Batteries. Each battery provides approximately 16 kWh of storage capacity, giving the complete system approximately 48 kWh of total battery storage. LiFePO4 battery technology provides a stable and practical solution for regular charging and discharging, making it suitable for daily solar energy storage and backup applications.

During periods of strong solar generation, solar power can be prioritized for the clinic‘s electrical loads, while excess energy can be stored in the battery system for later use. When solar production decreases or grid power is unavailable, the stored energy can help support essential loads and improve overall power availability.

With 22 kW of inverter capacity and 48 kWh of LiFePO4 battery storage, this solar-plus-storage project provides a practical approach to improving solar energy utilization and reducing dependence on conventional electricity. The system demonstrates how commercial solar energy storage technology can be adapted to the practical power requirements of healthcare facilities.

The same solution can also be applied to offices, retail stores, schools, workshops, small businesses, and other commercial facilities that require reliable solar power, battery storage, and backup energy capability.
